Furnace Cleaning in San Jose, CA
Call (408) 833-6715What a furnace cleaning actually involves
Power off at the disconnect first. Gas valve to off. The burner door comes off, then the burner assembly slides out as a unit. Ports get brushed and the crossover channels vacuumed. The flame sensor is scuffed with abrasive cloth, not sandpaper grit. Then the heat exchanger gets checked with a mirror and light, panel by panel, for cracking at the bends.
The blower is the part most skipped. It sits below the exchanger and the squirrel-cage blades load up with fine silt. Dust packs into the cupped side of each blade. The wheel keeps spinning but moves less air every season. On older units it pulls out on rails. On tight closet installs the whole assembly has to come down.
San Jose furnaces live in three places. Hallway closets in 1950s and 60s ranch homes. Attic platforms. Crawlspaces in Willow Glen and Naglee Park era houses, where the drain pan and coil area is the one spot mold shows up.
Most of what we vacuum out is remodel drywall dust, attic insulation fiber, and late-summer wildfire soot. Undersized one-inch filter slots let that air bypass the filter at the edges. Fix the slot and the blower stays clean longer.

What Happens After You Call Us
Call and tell us your vent count and whether ducts run through the attic. We give a two hour arrival window, a text when the truck is twenty minutes out, and a free estimate.
We walk the house, pull a register cover, and check the trunk line before quoting. Vent count, attic run length, and torn flex duct set the price, and you get it in writing first.
We brush and vacuum every run, seal registers back down, test airflow at the farthest vent, and swap your filter on request. Drop cloths come up, the attic hatch gets wiped, and you pay the quoted number.
